I have 2 verions ST. How to delete old?

#1

Hi!
For some reason I have two versions of the text editor. How can I remove the old version 4143 without affecting the settings of version 4192?
Thx

I suspect you don’t really have two versions installed, rather your Open With database has gotten corrupted.
Try the fix listed here and report back please.

Then you should just be able to delete the old version.
Settings are stored in /Users/<YOUR USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text

If you’re really worried you could backup the contents of that folder before you delete the old version.

Bingo

How to:

  1. Install the CCleaner and Run it
  2. Open the old ST version (4143)
  3. Check for Updates ST
  4. Download and Install the new version
    =>>>
CCleaner will detect new & old versions
    and…
    Mark old version

Backup folder and files

and

Press Uninstall the old version in the CCleaner.

Enjoy!
