I can't preview my code in a Web Browser ;(

#1

Okay, my problem is this, I installed Sublime Text 2 and it runs seamlessly and all seems to go smoothly. But this one thing I have bothers me alot, because I can’t preview my code “html” in a web browser. I followed both instructions here: granneman.com/webdev/editors … ild-system

The first method was installed on ST2 but then, when I press “Ctrl-Alt-V” It just nothing, I mean nothing happens when pressing the key, eventhough I already installed View In Browser. The same goes to the second method which gives me an error:

I hope someone can help me solve this problem.

You probably have malformed JSON in the build file. Please post the contents of the file it is complaining about.

I’m using Windows 7 SP1

I re-install ST2 but still the problem stayed there.

Here’s what I did from the start:

First:

It confirms the installation:

And the time I press "Ctrl + Alt + v " Still no single browser opens, as stated on the site that by default it will open Firefox, but that didn’t happened and when I open the console here’s all the result:

I’m confused. Are you getting the same error you were getting before or have you passed that?

That error pops up when I’m doing the second method which is using a build system. I get the error when I do this:

{ "cmd": "C:\Program Files\", "$file"] }

But installing the ** View in Browser ** plugins doesn’t do anything, everytime I press “Ctrl + Alt + v” nothing works.

You need to escape your back slashes. Replace the “” with “\” in the string. Looking at that though, I don’t think that would do what you want either. I haven’t used the plugin before, so I don’t much about it. If you haven’t already, look through the readme on the github page. github.com/adampresley/sublime-view-in-browser If you still run into issues, you can try creating an issue, or perhaps someone that has used the plugin will respond.

How to do that?

}

Like that? I didn’t do much configuration before, because I was used to np++ and I really wanted to shift to ST.

If ST will have this built-in function I will definitely buy the editor!

Yes like that. Did you get it working with the plugin? Honestly, I’m not sure how that build system is supposed to work.
