I keep trying this editor. It has huge potential, but sometimes I simply get lost in very basic functions.
Today, I am lost in file navigation.
On the left, I have the “folders” view. It is useful for quickly opening new files, but completely useless for navigating open files, since it includes every single file in folder and needs to continuosly be scrolled up/down.
Is there a way to have already open files marked in bold in it? Or maybe to filter open files only?
Still on the left, I have the “open files” view. it is perfect until I have few files open, but when I start having 20-30 files, it becomes useless, because it is not sorted.
Is there a way to have it sorted by name and/or grouped by folder? Also, is it possible to have most recently edited files colored differently, or to have files sorted by last edit?
Then on top I have the “tabs”. Personally, I find them useless for navigation (only use is having unsaved files marked in red.
Is there a way to have edited files in red also on side bar and then completely hide tabs?
Last, I often go “peek” another file wìhile I am modifying one. Is there a way to quick switch back to last file edited?
More in general, I can’t find a good workflow between files, do you have any suggestions?
