For some reason when I change something in preferences or in my keymap and save. And then go to my code, none of my changes work. I have to restart Sublime every time to activate these changes and it is quite annoying.
Not really sure what I am doing wrong.

It is symlinked. I wanted to put it in my ~/.dotfiles
Is there a way to make it work like that?
I’ve read through it fully but didn’t find a solution to it. Perhaps I have missed something.
I have the files on the Packages folder and then symlink to that folder from the folder where I work on them to work around that issue.
Yeah but then the symlinks will just contain the path to the files, not the content. I wanted to put my sublime settings in my ~/.dotfiles
As mentioned in the referenced issue, the only solution right now is to hardlink the files.
