How to go first and last line

#1

I can go to the first line by pressing CTRL + G and then type 1. But as you can see, there are two steps. How to make it only one step like pressing CTRL + 1?

Going to the last line, 99% of the time I do not know the last line’s number. CTRL + G would not make sense. Any idea?

ctrl+home jumps the cursor to the beginning of the file and ctrl+end jumps the cursor to the end of the file.

I strongly recommend there should be an official cheat sheet about Key Bindings.

May I ask one more question, Is the official way of scrolling one line up or down by keyboard CTRL + UP and CTRL + DOWN?

You can do that with ctrl+up and ctrl+down,

I should also point out that the keys described here (in both of my responses) are for Windows/Linux; MacOS has different bindings for scrolling by lines, ctrl+alt+up instead.

The key binding for jumping to the start or end of the file is a native binding and my Macbook died, so I don’t know offhand what it is here (but I would guess cmd+home and cmd+end).
