How to get contrast between the text background and Tabs

#1

I went to Preference --> Color Scheme and all it offers it either dark or white background for the text. I want dark background but the tab white or any other color than black/grey. Basically want contrast for a black text background and tab.
Thanks

PS: Sorry by mistake I have posted this under something called BuyMeASoda I dont know what it is please ignore it there.

Of all the dark colors Cobalt offered some contrast between the tab and text background. I would say your default text background is the worst of all and for novice(aged) users it is very difficult to distinguish quite often I edited the wrong file :-). So for now I am fine however if you do have a solution would love to hear.

One more suggestion in the preference --> color scheme you giving us the color scheme in “words” is of no use, you cannot expect the user to know the names of color that too when you have users all over the world. So you have to give the color sample. To be frank all the color schemes you mention were Greek and Latin :-). I had to try one after the other which is tedious as you tend to forget with so many to decide.

The ideal way I have seen is when we hover over the color the text background with our text should show up, that way we can decide in a minute

Thanks
