How to change the color of editor background?

I was able to change the up part, which you can see, it black.

I want to change the lower part to black as well, I show what is the lower part in the picture

The background property sets the background color for the pane as a whole and also for any text for which you don’t specifically have a color scheme rule that specifies a background property.

The problem you have here is that you added it as a rule; it doesn’t go there, it goes in the globals section because it affects the file as a whole, whereas the rules are for coloring things specifically by scope.
