How to buy a personal license? (solved)

I’m trying to purchase a license for personal use, but it keeps redirecting me to the business subscription.

  1. I select “This license is for me”
  2. It asks me for name and email, which I fill.
  3. I click “PAY WITH CARD”
  4. I get redirected to login which says “account is only required for business account”, and indeed, if I login then it grays out the license type selection and forces it to business subscription.

Do I have to use Paypal or what’s going on? The purchase page doesn’t say anything about payment methods, there’s just 2 buttons side-by-side.

The issue is likely that you have an account and so the account cookie is sticking around, so it tries to redirect you to your account. Either clearing your cookies or logging out and then trying again should work.

I figured it out, it’s because there’s a captcha, I’ve blocked google so it didn’t appear. I didn’t expect to need to fill a captcha in such a situation and the resulting error (or rather, lack of one) was super confusing so I didn’t think to check.
