How to add a local repo using git?

Hi,
I’ve been using sublime text3 for some time.Recently I’ve installed git plugin with it.But I’m experiencing a problem while adding my project repository.Currently its in my Google Drive.When add this using plugin’s add repository option , it says ‘Unable to add repository since it does not appear to be served by HTTP’. I don’t want to use any other online repos like GitHub. Isn’t possible to add repositories in my local system using sublime’s git plugin ?
