How does "super+alt+[" shortcut/hotkey work on a MacBook?

#1

To fold or unfold a block of code, there exists the shortcut (hotkey) “super+alt+[” (or “super+alt+]”).

However, I have no idea what keys I have to press or to hold down. How can I hold down the Command-key, the Alt-key and the squared-bracket-key at the same time? On my MacBook, I have to press Alt-key + 6 to print a squared bracket (’]’).

Instead, when I hold down command, alt and 6 at the same time, the layout changes because it uses the shortcut “super+alt+6”.

If you have some wacky keyboard that doesn’t have a closing square bracket, then change the shortcut key to something that works for you.

I don’t understand you. A MacBook keyboard has a square bracket, you have to hold down ‘Alt/option’ and ‘6’.
I just don’t know how to hold down Alt and the square bracket at the same time.

Shortcuts are designed to work with an American keyboard layout. Some may not work with other language layouts. You will have to reassign those shortcuts yourself.

Got it. Now I know what you’re talking about:

I didn’t know that there is an extra key vor square brackets on US keyboards.

Thanks!
