How do you set the color of text under block_caret?

I love the block_caret, but I cannot find a way to set the text underneath the caret, which means text is unreadable most of the time …

Same here. In particular, I’d like it to automagically pick a contrasting color – the way iTerm2 does. That way, one could read the text whether the cursor was “on” or “off” at the moment, and even if the caret_style was set to “solid” (not blinking). The way things are now, block_caret is pretty much a non-starter for me.

BTW, one “solution” is to dial down the alpha on the block_caret color value in the theme. That makes the underlying text more visible, at the expense of the cursor. Not useful.
