How do I remove this annoying vertical line?

I was randomly checking out some options and now I don’t know how to remove this problem, I am also not sure if this is the right way of describing this problem therefore I am attaching some images.

I can only use half of the screen because of this.

View menu - Layout - Single

Isn’t that the line wrap guide, not a layout split?

Maybe it’s layout idk. Tough to tell from picture.

Oh could be, I didn’t look too closely on my small phone screen - in which case View menu - Ruler - None iirc

It is the wrap line, you can see the text is wrapping at that point. No other way to achieve that rendering of that line of text without wrapping.

Uncheck the menu item View > Word Wrap.
