How do find or uninstall an old version (build 1079) and use latest version? (Max OS X)

#1

I’ve purchased Sublime Merge and been using build 1079 for a few months. It tells me there’s an upgrade. I’ve installed the latest several times (currently 1103), but whenever I launch Merge from Spotlight Search on my Mac, it finds the old 1079 version. If I go to Applications and run Merge, it gets the newer version.

I’ve tried to find where 1079 is installed without luck. Spotlight Search doesn’t reveal the location, that I’ve been able to find. Searching my hard drive for “merge” is not fruitful.

How can I find the location of the old version so I can uninstall it?

Run the old one & then right click the icon in the Dock and choose Options->Show in Finder.

If that doesn’t work, try this:

  1. open the System Information app
  2. choose the left hand menu Software>Applications
  3. once it loads, scroll to Sublime Merge & there should be more than one each with a Location listed in the bottom pane

Perfect! Both approaches got the job done, @srbs !

BTW, the “left hand menu” is the “System Report…” button.

Thank you!
