I can open up to 15 files at a time from my windows. So, even if I have to open 16 files, I need to select 15 files and open; then select the 16th file and open. How can I open as many files as I want in single selection?

Windows seems to be blocking the maximum limit, but you can still select all the files you want to and drag and drop them:
