I would like to be able to highlight the right margin using a different color. This would be particular useful in languages for which people tend to use automatic word wrapping (e.g. LaTeX).
What I mean is best observed in the following example from Qt creator:
so you want everything to the right of the ruler to be a different color? what about when there are multiple rulers? everything to the right of the last ruler? some way to configure colors for each ruler?
If one zooms out, it would make sense to allow a unique color after each ruler.
However, I can imagine that this gives a bit of a pickle in the color-style (as in principle the number of rulers is not restricted). So one could also opt to allow a different color only after the first or the last ruler.
