Hide the .sublime-project file extension

When I want to switch between projects by using Ctrl+Alt+P, can I get the .sublime-project file extensions to not show up?

So for example instead of the current

My project.sublime-project
Another project.sublime-project
Super important project.sublime-project

I would love them to show up as just:

My project
Another project
Super important project

[gerry]

There’s no way to that in Sublime.

You might like open-sesame which does something similar. Open a feature request for specific use-case and I’ll see what I can I do, but the existing features might do what you want.
