Hidden Application menu and dock

Hi there,

I’ve just installed Sublime Text 2 Build 3065 and when the application opens, it automatically hides the dock and top menu bar.
If I move the cursor to the top of the screen, after a couple of seconds the menu appears, likewise for the dock. This behaviour doesn’t happen for any my other applications and my system preferences for the dock does not “automatically hide and show the dock”.

How do I prevent this from happening?

I am using a MacBook Pro 2013, OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks

Sublime Text has a full-screen mode. I’ve not personally tried it, but from your description maybe you’ve accidentally put ST2 into full-screen mode? Or you could also try searching for info on distraction-free mode. Your problem might even be OS X’s own full-screen mode.
