**Help! Microsoft Defender is Blocking Sublime Text Editor Download**

#1

Hello, community!

I’ve been trying to download Sublime Text Editor on my Windows machine, but every time I attempt to do so, Microsoft Defender prevents the download, stating that it has detected a Trojan. I am sure that Sublime Text is a legitimate and safe application, but I’m at a loss about how to proceed.

Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, how did you resolve it? I’d greatly appreciate any advice or workaround to get Sublime Text installed on my system without compromising security.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Not having an issue with Microsoft Defender, even after manually scanning. But Cisco Secure Endpoint is flagging “sublime_text_build_4152_x64_setup.exe” with “malicious activity detected” [W32.DBEEE9C9F7-90.SBX.TG].

Unless you’re downloading the installer from a third party these are most likely false positives. You can confirm our signature on the installer by right-clicking on the file, going to Properties and then Digital Signatures.

Fwiw Defender also doesn’t detect anything on my end.
