Hi,
No matter what theme or scheme I choose, the colours are not showing anymore when opening a HTML page and I have to go to the dropdown at the right bottom of Sublime Text to click on the HTML extension to show the colours. This is in the latest version of Sublime Text on Mac Intel Sonoma 14.6.1

That sounds like the file isn’t opening with the HTML syntax and it’s unrelated to the theme or color scheme. You can make ST open a file with a specific syntax by default by going to View > Syntax > Open all with current extension as… > HTML.
Thanks! But when I do that it shows the colours, but with opening the next HTML page it doesn’t.
Or do you mean something else?
Monokai Pro theme is known to cause that issue as it ships with plain text dummy syntaxes overriding all real syntaxes.
