Build 3047, on OSX 10.8.2. I enter cmd-O and get a directory window. In that window, I click on my local home directory icon. ST hangs forever at that point. Is there anything I can do?
I have additional information to add here. The moment I connected to our work network over VPN, ST came to life and behaved normally. What can ST be waiting for? What operations can it block on indefinitely in this way?
Open Dialogs are outside of Sublime Text’s control: we just delegate to Cocoa for that. Do you see a similar issue when doing the same thing via Finder?
Thanks for the explanation. I reproduced this, and while ST was hung with the dialog window open, the finder accessed the files with no problems.
To clarify - the file access attempt that hangs ST is entirely local. The need for VPN access to elsewhere seems nonsensical, but is reproducible. Is the Cocoa window somehow trying to access directories other than the ones I’m specifying to it?
