GTK icons missing in dialog boxes

#1

Hi,

In Open/Save dialogs, the button icons are missing.
White images with red crosses are displayed instead.

I’m using Sublime Text 2 on KDE 4.11.5 and openSUSE 13.1.
Gnome has never been installed on this system so I guess some GTK stuff is not installed.
I tried several GTK themes, installed many packages, didn’t solve the problem.

Can someone having met the same issue lead me to the solution please ?
Many thanks, and have a very good day.

Marcounet.

Hello sublime people,

I have the exact same problem as marcounet described. All GTK dialoges (Open File, Open Folder, Save As, Open Project, …) in Sublime Text are missing icons.
I’ve tried other icon themes and for most of them Sublime Text doesn’t display icons. Every other application I use however has no trouble displaying icons in GTK dialogues. Screenshot:

  • Sublime Text 2.0.2, Build 2221 on ArchLinux (very up to date)
  • gnome icon theme
  • gtk2 2.24.29
  • gtk3 3.18.7-1

I’m not sure what the cause for this could be. Maybe Sublime Text requests an icon size that’s not available? Maybe /usr/share/icons is not searched for icons but only ~/.icons?

I’ll gladly provide more info if needed. It would be fantastic to get this fixed.

Cheers,
Stefan
