Graphic symbols not showing in Consolas font in Sublime Text 3 on Windows 10

#1

Some graphic symbols not showing in Consolas font in Sublime Text 3 on Windows 10.

For example: :arrow_backward:

Other UTF-8 extended glyphs, like ñ, áéíóú works.

Screencap:

Triangle not showing in Consolas Font

The ‘triangle glyph’ shows ok in all other fonts installed in the system (Courier, Hack, Arial… all of them).

I checked the versión of my Consoles font files and all them are the latests.

In every other text editor (Notepad, VSC…) The ‘triangle glyph’ shows ok using Consolas.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Not sure whether it is still true with the new font rendering engine in 3147, but in prior versions the font rendering falls back to GDI, if Consolas font and some others are used. GDI itself has several issues in handling modern unicode characters, which can’t be fixed by ST.

W00t! That was a good clue…

I set this options to:

	"font_options": ["directwrite"],
	"theme_font_options": ["directwrite"],

And now the font displays as it should !

My registered ST3 version is 3143 tho. No update available yet in the stable channel.

Thanks!
