I recently moved from a Mac Mini to a MacBook Air. I installed ST2 (2.02.2221) on the new MacBook which is running OS X 10.8.4 and I installed the same ST2 plugins and copied in my config options that I had on my old Mini. I do not know the ST2 version on the Mini, but I believe it was the same and the OS X was also 10.8.4.
I used to always be able to follow these workflows on the Mini:
mkdir /newdir
touch /newdir/somefile.rb
Cmd-Tab over to ST2
Cmd+p and the file was visible
OR
create new dir and file in finder (rarely did this but it always worked)
switch back to ST2
Cmd+p and the file was visible
OR
Cmd+n in ST2 to create a new file
Cmd+s to save the file
Work on file, close file, cmd+w
Cmd+p and the file was visible
With the new installation, NONE of these flows works. The ONLY ways to see these newly created files in GoTo Anything are:
- Close and reopen ST2
OR - Cmd+o to open a new instance
In both cases, the files are now accessible via GoTo Anything.
UPDATE: I don’t use projects so I was unaware of Project/Refresh Folders. I just tried it and it does work, so there are now 3 ways to refresh the cache.
Looking for any available help on this one.
Many thanks,
Wayne Hiner
