That sounds like an issue with Github Desktop, perhaps there’s a bug with editor integrations: https://docs.github.com/en/desktop/installing-and-configuring-github-desktop/configuring-and-customizing-github-desktop/configuring-a-default-editor

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, even if you follow :

Reverting to a Freshly Installed State

Thanks restart and re-install the app = the same problem!
Really annoying.

It’s come from Sublime, since do nothing except launching Sublime and it’s launching GitHub. Crazy stupid.

Re, I don’t see how it could be a Github integration, since I do not have Github launched ! Nothing is running, then as soon I do start Sublime it launch Github. So I guess something in Sublime is launching the external Github app.

Sublime Text doesn’t start any external application by default. Plugins can start external processes for various tasks, but I’ve never been faced to nor heard/read about ST starting Github Desktop App.

How come ? even safe mode is starting the external software.

Hi, problem solved. I deleted all files by hand with Github included in filename, then I reboot and all good.
So I suspect some files in /usr/local. But now it’s working as expected. Thanks for all your support.
