If you could install the trial and generate the debug log, it should provide a full dump of what files it thinks are changed, and what files the command line git client thinks are changed. That would probably be the fastest way to diagnose what is going on.

Sorry for the delay, didn’t have to test it, when I tried the debug shows the right git status output, but nothing in our status information field like below:
