Gap in Menu Bar on M1 MacBook Pro

#1

The menu bar has a gap between “Project” and “Window”, which obscures other items in the Finder’s menu bar. This happens with SM 4126 on an M1 MacBook Pro (OS 12.3.1) but not on an Intel Mac that runs the same OS.

BTW, a few other apps have the same problem, among them Skim, but most don’t.

If other apps have the same problem perhaps you have a customization/third party software causing this?

This is probably the gap where the camera is positioned on a M1 MacBook.
If you make a screenshot it becomes black.
When you look clearly at the gap on your screen do you see the round camera ‘hole/spot’ inside?

You’re absolutely right, it’s the camera gap. In the M1 MacBook it’s inside the screen but blends with the black background and was hard to spot. Changing the background to a lighter color makes the camera gap clear.

…still learning my laptop

Thanks!
