From Sublime to Word keeping style

#1

I have installed the Highlight package, which is not maintained anymore, to copy my styled text from ST4 into MS Word (see also this old post). However, it does not seem to work, the text is copied without the colours. Only with copy as HTML I can get a grey background containing plain text with no colours.

I think my version of Word is fine, as when I use IntelliJ I can copy and paste styled text with no problems into Word, but I really want to use ST.

Is there any method or package available that works?

I used to use ST’s print, and then copy the printed codes from browser.

It could be a workaround, but it is far from ideal… Basically because some of the text background gets messed up and pasting the text in Word does not cover the full paragraph with the background colour, only where there is text… After the line ends, the background is transparent.

Looks like other editor suffers from this as well… https://www.ultraedit.com/support/tutorials-power-tips/ultraedit/copy-paste-syntax-highlighting.html

I like UltraEdit because it gives me full printing control. I also don’t use Word so there is another plus.

After some trails and errors, I eventually make my own command which works for MS Word https://github.com/jfcherng-sublime/ST-RichFormatCodes

Here’s a quick demo

How can I install this?

Simply clone/download it, unzip it and put it in Packages/ directory in the directory name of RichFormatCodes.
