Freeze with 3176 when saving file with root privileges on Ubuntu 18

#1

Hello

I am using since few days sublime text on macOS and Debian 9 at home and on Ubuntu 18 at work…
When I edit a file with root privileges under Debian 9 it asks me then to supply the root password…

Under Ubuntu 18 it doesn’t, but sublime freezes instead and I have to kill it…

Is there a workaround for this?

thx in advance
richard

what happens when you test /usr/bin/gksudo and pkexec separately?

There isn’t gksudo on Ubuntu
