I installed ST 4126 on a new macbook, but the folders panel does not update either when creating/renaming/moving/deleting files or folders using ST UI, or the terminal.
If I use Project/refresh folders the panel updates correctly
Is the folder you have open a local folder? In order for Sublime to get notified that the watched folder(s) are changing, the file system that holds the folder needs to support providing notifications.
Shared file systems like network file shares (samba, sshfs, etc) don’t provide notifications, so Sublime can’t tell that things are changing.
To restate…
This was freshly installed Intel Macbook Pro, with a fresh installation of ST. The project directory is ~/Development/my-project
Adding, renaming or deleting files using ST or the terminal does not refresh the folders panel. This makes ST almost unusable for software development
