Find using CTRL + F fails to find most text in any file

When I enter a string into the CTRL + F field, the results are only showing my code comments, and data. It completely skips over the function’s names and class names? Whats going on? This just started happening recently it used to search though everything just fine.

I read another thread on this forum that said CTRL + R would help me search function names, which seems like a waste of time to have to search for one or the other but not everything in the file at the same time, and on top of that it doesn’t do what they said it does, it doesn’t find strings inside of function names either.

Can you provide a minimal example of text content and a search that doesn’t seem to find any matches?

Off the top of my head a search not doing what you expect may be be that one or more of Regular Expression, Case Sensitive or Whole Word is restricting the resulting matches in a way you don’t expect.
