File Associations on Windows 7

#1

I am going crazy. Windows won’t let me associate sublime with the files I want … at least not by file extension/mime type.

I can ONE UP associate sublime with a file… but I want sublime to ALWAYS open my .sql files or my .rb files… but gosh darnit it just won’t do it. I even try to change the associations in the control panel, no go. It just doesn’t do it, no error, just doesn’t do it.

Has anyone else seen this issue? I think it had to do with UltraEdit, which I uninstalled, but still left keys in the registry for file associations. I removed those keys, but there must be something I missed because it still won’t let sublime be the default app for anything. Very frustrating.

Thank you, but that was not the problem. It looks fine in Regedit. :frowning:

Well, I ended up (drastic, I know), reinstalling Windows 7 and now Sublime can take control…

Keeping my install free of junk this time.
