Could we have more options for highlighting brackets in color schemes, like highlighting the background or a border around them? Currently the only option is to use underline or change the foreground, both of which aren’t really that good for a number of color schemes.
I’d love to have background highlighting for matching brackets (and ideally for tags too) as well, but my hopes are not very high that it will ever be implemented. Just in case I’m wrong with that assumption, an implementation should provide new color scheme setting(s) “brackets_background”, and possibly also “bracket_contents_background” & “tags_background”, so that the background and foreground colors of matching brackets/tags could be styled independently.
