Explorer and Anti Malware high use of CPU upon mass saving files

How come every time I mass save, on Windows 10, The explorer CPU skyrockets together with anti malware thing?

The mass save process speed depends on how many times i modified the files (mass modifications with regex)

I do not want the antimalware thing to activate on Sublime Text.

Well, it’s the very basic design of antimalware software to monitor application activity on OS level, which might require “some” resources. That’s nothing applications such as Sublime Text have influence on.

Your only chance is to add sublime_text.exe and plugin_host-3.x.exe to Windows Defender’s exception lists.

I just tried that:

(Processo => Process)

and nothing changed.
EDIT: i restarted the pc before checking again.

Then you might want to ask Microsoft, why they ignore those.

Or maybe your Antimalware CPU usage is related with explorers activity. Maybe he’s taking action on modified files causing them to be scanned.

Defender can significantly reduce file operation performance, but that’s out of scope of Sublime Text.
