Errors in saving

#1

So I am trying out SublimeText and I really like it so far. But there is one issue that is extremely annoying and I’m not sure what’s causing it.

Well over half of the time when I save a file in SublimeText, the change is not recognized by the VM, or it will say “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in (file name).”

My solution is to add whitespace to the end of the file, remove whitespace, add random characters, etc. But the VM doesn’t recognize the change until I repeat that process a couple times.

I also have Coda installed, and I don’t run into this issue.

There was a similar thread a couple years ago, but it didn’t have a solution to my issue and the thread seemed dead. My setup: OSX Mavericks, VMWare Fusion 6.03, LAMP environment running in VM with sharing enabled. I’ve tried SublimeText 2 and 3, and both have this issue.

I really like SublimeText, but this issue is keeping me from using it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be happening?
