This popup has been occurring on startup for over a month, and modally blocking all interaction with the program until dismissed. I read that this is supposed to be addressed in the next version, but a fix has not been issued for an extended period, and this is becoming an issue.

I am not on dev builds. This problem has been ongoing for more than a month now. This should not need any major work to fix (probably 1 or 2 bad references), so the length of time it has remained unfixed is concerning.
Given how long this has been ongoing and unpatched, I can no longer feel secure that sublime text is adequately supported. While this bug is not major, the lack of responsiveness is simply too concerning should anything more significant occur. I am going to have to move to another editor. Thanks for serving as my main editor for a decade.
Must’ve been a rough ride for you in the past decade if a response by a developer within a single day, asking for whether something is fixed in a current dev release (to which you simply answered “didn’t test”), causes you to come to the conclusion of “lack of responsiveness”.
I am not in a situation where installing a dev build is possible. The “lack of responsiveness” refers to that lack of any new releases over an extended period of time in the non-dev branch. Not everyone is in an environment where they can frequently update or move to untested code.
Can you provide your plugins? You can also show us the console log (since afaik ST will still stay open even if plugin host crashes). It says plugin host, so you might be using a very old outdated plugin from someone.
Also, regarding dev builds, I never left dev and in my experience is actually more stable than stable. If you drop by discord, they actually have 4 releases after 4152. I think stable in sublime is more like a “code freeze”. So imo, if you already have a license, I would highly suggest to use the dev build instead.
