Empty Files on Mac

#1

Hi

Mac had to restart and when I re started all the files I had been working on were empty.
Running Mac OS 10.11

Running Sublime Text 2 Build 2221 - unregistered.

Any help please?

I’m having the same issue and it’s really frustrating as it happens multiple times per day and has been an issue for the past several months.

When this behavior is occurring:

  • I’m unable to save files (a sublime message dialogue pops up saying I’ve too many open files).
  • Any file I try to open is completely blank.
  • The only way to fix it is to completely quit sublime and re-launch.

I have tried quitting and re-launching, I tried re -booting and still nothing is appearing.

I will keep on having a look… but am not too hopeful.

Are you working towards a network drive?

No I hadn’t intended on using network drives, why? A few days later and the files are still empty.

I was asking since I have had this problem when I had files residing on a network drive. A few times they got temporary unavailable (during startup) and they opened up as blank

File permission problems?

No, no file permission issues, files saved locally, I’m the admin on the machine and the created the docs on it. I had maxed out the harddrive space and deleted old files off the harddrive completely unrelated to this, I had been getting the Start Up disk is almost full warning.
