Dropdown menu content won't go dark?

#1

My ancient main computer died, and I bought a new System76 Meerkat with Pop!-OS 24.04. Their Cosmic desktop won’t do VNC or RDP yet, so I’ve reverted to Gnome Desktop. I installed Sublime Text via Snap, and it shows Sublime Build 4200.

It opened all in light mode. I found settings to move the text windows and the top header to dark mode, but the actual dropdown content for all the menus is still glaring white. I apologize for being severely handicapped, unable to read the pale text on glaring white background. Maybe I’ve missed some new option?

But I’ve used Sublime on the now dead Arch machine and my RasPi5, and never seen the menu content differ from the rest of the interface. Is this a new feature? How can I make menu content dark?

The theming of menu is defined by the GTK3 theme. Unfortunately gnome has made it a bit annoying to change. What has worked for me is using gnome-tweaks and changing the Legacy Application style under Appearance.
