I have tested coming from Chrome/IE, MS Word.
IF I copy-paste text, all good, just if dragging and dropping.
Anyway to prevent this?

I would argue that it is a bug, whereby text dragged from another application isn’t sanitized (in terms of line endings). I’ve just tested on Windows 7 (dragging from Outlook) and get the same behavior as you. I would suggest logging it at https://github.com/SublimeTextIssues/Core/issues
