Double click highlight issue

#1

Hello, I just upgraded to the latest version (build 4113).

I am facing this issue while working on javascript - when a word/variable has a $ sign before it, double clicking it to select the word also includes the $ sign in selection.

word_separators in the preferences is not modified at all - it includes the $ sign as “word separator” but still $ gets selected when I double click the word.

I would like it to just select the variable/word and NOT INCLUDE the $ sign.

This was working previously in ST3, but stopped working after the upgrade.

Also, this happens only in javascript/typescript. Double clicking after selecting PlainText or PHP works as expected (i. e. selects the word only).

And NO, syntax-specific preferences for javascript are NOT modified.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Pretty sure the default syntax specific preferences for JS don’t include dollar as a word separator

That’s it!

I just copied word_separators from common preferences to javascript settings, and that did the trick! This must have been changed in the recent version, since it worked fine for me in ST3.
