Distraction free mode stuck since Build 3111

#1

Hi There,

Since build 3111 I’m noticing issues with distraction free mode. I am using Sublime on Debian 8.4.

Symptoms:
Once one enters the distraction free mode, everything is frozen. The cursor does not blink, interface does not react on clicking, pressing keyboard keys does not result in chars appearing in the editor, shortcuts do not work, scrolling does not work. Once the distraction free mode is switched off, everything works fine. Also, if you for example enter distraction free mode, hit the keys ‘abcd’ you will not see anything going on in the editor. Once you disable distraction free mode, you’ll see the chars ‘abcd’ in the editor. Similar results are achieved if clicking on tabs or in the sidebar. As if gui would not be refreshed correctly during distraction free mode.

My current woraround:
My current workaround is to revert back to Build 3109 (I missed Build 3110, so I do not have the installer for it). In bulid 3109 I do not have any problems with the distraction free mode.

I also tried to remove my workspace and project files and tried to recreate them with a more recent build, but unfortunately it did not help.

If you have any suggestions, let me know.

Thanks for the awesome product you’re building!

I am having similar issues on CentOS 7 after updating from 3103 to 3114.
In my case, the menu bar is always working correctly. Sometimes when switching to Distraction Free, everything freezes and the Side Bar appears partially, although it is disabled. However, sometimes the Distraction Free mode works, and switching back to normal or to fullscreen causes the same problem in those modes.

I could not reproduce the issue on Window 10 btw.

@zWaR Not in any way related to your issue, but to your workflow:

I highly recommend giving https://github.com/aziz/DistractionFreeWindow by @aziz a try.
