Both changed files and moved files are shown with a circle behind the filename. Unlike changed files, moved files can usually be closed without being worried about losing changes, so it would be super useful to see immediately if the file was moved or changed.

Assuming that the file could be moved by an application other than Sublime Text, I see issues arising in the tracking of said movement.

partially related is this suggestion to disable file reloading on external change, in that there is a proposal of how the tab bar could look to show when the file was modified externally:
