Disable tabs and use only windows

Is it possible to disable tab behaviour completely in favour of using only independent windows?

To be completely honest, I think the tab-bar is ugly and I’d rather use independent windows that I can easily manage with built in OS X tools.

While I don’t know if it’s possible…

I do know that you can theme the tab-bar with themes such as Soda and Flatland. Maybe that will make the tab-bar not-ugly.
