Disable double click on tab

#1

Hello,

I am using ST3, and it has this (for me) annoying feature that if you double click on the tab of a file, it opens the file in a separate instance of ST3.

Is there a way to disable this ?

I’m not seeing that behavior here, what platform are you using and what version of Sublime Text (See Help > About)?

I am running it under Ubuntu (linux 64 bits kernel 6.8.0-86-generic) and the build is the “Stable channel, Build 4200”

I"m not seeing this behavior under ubuntu 24.04. Does it happen in safe mode?

I am sorry, the description is wrong. What actually happens is this:

  1. I press (left mouse button) on the tab
  2. I move the mouse a very little, but enough for the tab to become detached
  3. I release left mouse button

Since the tab is detached from the original ST instance, a new one is created with only that tab.
I suppose this is normal behaviour (I can see why this would be useful). But still, is it possible to disable this behaviour ? Otherwise I will need to buy a less sensitive mouse.
