Difficulty in Using Sublime Text 2.0.2 User's License

#1

Today,I eagerly awaited using Sublime Text 2.0.2 to enter in a CSS,Javascript,HTML 5 document, but couldn’t get going!I purchased Sublime Text 2.0.2 License about a month ago. Paid $70USD for it. When I try to get the License pasted into the Help Menu ,which you need to do to register the License, all I got was “License Doesn’t appear valid”. I have saved the Sublime Text 2.0.2 License Key on my Flash Drive,it consists of 66 Kilobyte of code. When I click on it,the License Key opens up in Microsoft Word. It looks like the License Key is in there, alright.I highlight all of the License Key,press Command C to copy on the MacIntosh, then switch back to the Sublime text program,Open the Help Menu in Sublime Text, click on “Enter License Key”. A small window appears with a cursor on the upper LHS of the screen. I next do a Command V on the MacIntosh to paste it in-and that’s where the TROUBLE starts. The License Key does not appear as a block of Hexadecimal Numbers, but instead it is on one line, spreading out to the right, beyond the Box on the RHS. And,an error message from Sublime text 2.0.2 comes up-“It doesn’t appear that the License key is Valid”. I am fed up with sublime text 2.0.2 at this point and am ready to use Textedit on the Mac!I can’t have these “snafus” that I keep getting! It seems like the Sublime Text text Editor was a waste of $70! I am displeased!

Contact sales and ask for a new key or refund…?

Did you follow the instructions in the license mail?

  1. Open Sublime Text, and select Help/Enter License from the menu.
  2. Copy the license above (including the BEGIN LICENSE and END LICENSE lines) and paste them into the license box.
  3. Press the Use License button and Sublime Text will enter into licensed mode.

One possibility is that Word has inserted formatting information in the text as it likes to do. Make sure you are pasting plain text.
