Different versions, same Prefs

#1

Hey everyone!

I just installed version 4 alongside version 3 and made sure I got the version 4 folder within macOS’s Application Support ready before the installation, just as officially advised.

However, now, when I change settings in one version, they carry over into the other one. Is this intended? I thought keeping both folders would mean being able to split the prefs as well.
Could make great use of this if I was able to set different color schemes as well as different zoom levels for different windows by using different versions for those.

Best wishes,
Shu

Having both folders does keep all user data separate. What exact folder did you create?

Thanks for the reply!
I created the following folder:
~/User/me/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 4/

Before, there was only this one present:
~/User/me/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3/

And I did notice - not sure it’s got anything to do with this -, when starting version 4 for the first time, that some folders moved over from /Sublime Text 3 to /Sublime Text 4 (Cache and Index).

The folder should be called just Sublime Text, not Sublime Text 4. See https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/side_by_side.html

Oh, I see! Thanks! Small issue, great effect! That’s great!
