When I choose to create or move a file for example by right clicking a location in the file browser sidebar, I get a ‘dialog’ to choose the filename or whatever at the very bottom of the screen, just above the status bar. Is it possible to move this dialog and have it as a popup like a palette at the top or in the middle of the window?

OK thanks. I only asked as I was watching a video tutorial and I thought the presenter was using ST, it certainly looked like it. Whenever he create a new file the dialog was at the top of the workspace.

It is possible that a third-party package offers the ability to use new features in the command palette to do that, but the built-in functionality does not offer that, and the “input_panel” feature of the API is hard-coded to be below the editor controls.
