Custom white-space characters

#1

Does anyone know how to change the characters representing white spaces?

In my specific case, I’d like to use “→” to represent tabs. I came across a setting (“draw_tabs”: “→”) somewhere, but it doesn’t seem to work.

Thanks in advance for any helpful information.

I do not believe that you can choose to alter the characters that are used for whitespace display.

There is no such setting draw_tabs that I am aware of. THere is a draw_white_space setting, but it controls in what circumstances whitespace is drawn (and which of the whitespace characters get displayed), but does not allow you to control the glyphs used to do so.
