I just installed ST3 fresh on Windows (build 3114), and ctrl+F is not bound to Find. When I hit ctrl+F, the caret moves to the end of the document and inserts this (numbers increment each time the shortcut is pressed):

The Find menu shows no shortcut for Find:
What’s wrong? How do I fix this?
You must have a plugin installed that mess up with the default shortcut.
Open the console (usually ctrl+`), type sublime.log_commands(True)
and try to do ctrl+f again, it should show you which command is actually call by ctrl+f
Ah, that was it! I apparently installed MarkdownFootnotes by accident instead of Markdown Extended, that was the one. Thank you!
