Ctrl+Enter in commit does nothing on windows?

#1

Clean Windows 7 SP1 install with no updates, it just pops up the git user name window and doesn’t commit. Both install and portable version.

Hmmm it seems entering nothing in the e-mail field causes this and no error pop-up.

Git requires you to have a name and email set in order to commit.

I see… I remember git letting you set them to “”. This is probably a Sublime Merge thing with leaving the text boxes empty so they are in fact treated as nil instead of “”.

This does look like a case where we differ from git. Setting the email explicitly to "" allows git to commit but SM still asks for the email.
