Crashes / Hanges when typing string with double quotes

Sublime Text is consistently crashing whenever I try and type a string enclosed with double quotes. Specifically, when I type the opening quote and then the first character I get the perpetual Mac spinning wait ball.

I am running:
Mac OSX 10.14.6
Sublime Text Build 3200. This was happening with the latest release so I downgraded in the hope it would help. It didn’t.
I am also using the Corona Editor plugin.

I also tried deleting the Sublime text 3 Application Setting folder (multiple times) and this did not help either.
I was unable to find any other suggestions on the topic.
I have a paid license.

Have you tried reverting to a freshly installed state?

Could you provide a process sample from Activity Monitor while Sublime Text is stuck? Does this also happen with “Plain Text” syntax highlighting?

I did a fresh install again and it is automagically working again. If it happens again I’ll reply with that info here.
